The 1880s Italianate home was built for Dr. O. B. Harriman and later cared for by the Nielsen family. The property was entrusted to the Franklin County Historical Society and preserves domestic, farming and immigrant-family history.
The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places; the barn is also offered for private events.
